Shut Up & Play the Music  has ever preferred the vinyl short formats (SP, EP, Maxi-EP...) to the longer (and often more boring) ones.  Even if the LPs have, by far, a better price-quantity ratio, the short formats have the advantage to capture, with just a few tracks, a snapshot of the life of a band - ie, its best, highly qualitative and spontaneous moments : their happy first recordings, their best songs and hits, their short-lived events and private experiences, their musical experimentations and evolutions, the structural changes in the band...  The last singles of  Televisionaries ,  Love Cans  and  Sun Cousto , and the awesome EPs of  Warm Exit  and  Purrses , stand for a demonstration.
